First Impressions: Benefit GALifornia Blush

Hi! It's been a little bit of a while-i have missed you (ugh, so cheesy)-but here i am, back at it again for a cheeky little first impression of the beautiful Benefit Galifornia blusher (i know this was released a billion years ago, so, i hope someone still cares).

I have never gotten into blusher, it's one of those things in which i avoid to spare me looking like a clown, and i think it is often over looked in the beauty world. So, i have decided to try out this one today, which is obviously something a little different to me, and let you know what my first impressions are.

I actually really love the packaging, i think it's cool and a bit different and goes with the whole Summery vibe that Benefit was trying to create here. However, i am not a big fan of the box style container, like, how is this practical? I think it's hard to keep open and use it at the same time, it doesn't help that this is the mini version and makes it all the more difficult to stick your brush in.

As i said, this is the baby version and it's so cute! The full size looks the same, except it has a really cool gold sun pattern in the pan itself and both the sizes come with a little rectangle brush-i can't think of another way to describe it, lol-which actually seems quite good.

After initially swatching it on my hand, this feels like a super soft and creamy formulation that felt like it melted into the skin on the back of my hand. It had pretty good pigmentation which is actually quite scary for a blusher, this is what i find makes them difficult to use because you can easily go over the top. This is so irrelevant to the way it works, but it also smells really good, and i like that, lols.

At first i tried to use this with the little brush that came with it, but that ended up being really annoying to use and did not do any kind of blending. But, with just a normal blusher type brush, it was much easier to blend. It's so pigmented, and i did apply too much at first (the reason i usually stay away from blusher ha), but after blending it out, i loved it. My skin just looked fresh and natural, but glowy (not in the highlighter way lol).

I really loved the way this looked, but i think i will have to see how much i really use it in order to do a full review. Definitely something cool to have in your makeup collection, if you don't already have it!

ooo, edgy

And, that was my first impression of the Galifornia blush, have you tried this, or any of the other Benefit blushers? What do you think?

Lots of love xoxo

I've been gone so long i forgot how i finish my blog posts, lol, i really need to keep updating my blog before i forget what it is even called, ahah
